AI FREE MEDIA

Our Manifesto

Rapid technological progress has led to a growing number of creative tasks — tasks that, until recently, could only be performed by humans — now being assisted or replaced by artificial intelligence. Examples include generating and editing text, images, and videos. Every day brings new areas of application. Especially in the media industry, the temptation is strong to replace demanding and costly human work with AI.

We do not fundamentally reject the use of AI. It is clear that these new technologies can bring great benefits to humanity — for example, in medicine.

But when it comes to media products, we want to give consumers a clear choice. People should be able to decide for themselves whether they want to engage with AI-supported or AI-free media.

The foundation for that freedom of choice is transparency. That is why we offer a certification mark that allows creators to label their works as “human-made.” We hope this will help preserve traditional media professions and ensure that human creativity continues to have space and value in the future.

We would be very grateful if you supported our mission. Please use the “AI free” seal for your own work and share our initiative with friends and colleagues. If your financial situation allows it, we would also greatly appreciate a donation to help us continue our work.

To certify your works as AI-free, register with your name and email address. You will receive an email with a confirmation link. Once the email address is confirmed, your profile will be created and we will send your login credentials in a separate message.
Please also review our guidelines on the requirements to classify a work as AI-free.

Register as a creator*

*Your name will appear on the certificate. If you publish under a pseudonym, you should use it as your name and also provide a matching email address to protect your real identity.

Requirements for Certifying an AI-Free Work

The work must have been published in its final form. A direct URL (or one of several URLs) must be provided as proof of publication.

Works that are offered for sale or use — such as templates, design drafts, or premade book covers — do not qualify unless they have been finalized and publicly released.

The creative part of the work must have been completed entirely without the use of AI generation or AI assistance. This includes text, images, layout, and all relevant components of the work.

Only the original creator — the artist, designer, or author — may apply for a certificate. It is not permitted to request a certificate on behalf of someone else.
